5 Things to Know Before Your First Facial

Here are five things to know before your first facial so you can show up relaxed, confident, and ready to glow.

1. You Don’t Need Perfect Skin to Book a Facial

Actually, that’s the point. Facials aren’t just for “skincare people” — they’re for anyone who wants healthier, more balanced skin. Whether you’re breaking out, feeling dry, or just unsure what your skin needs, that’s what we’re here to solve.

Your esthetician will assess your skin, talk through your current products, and create a treatment plan that fits you.

2. Come With a Clean Face (If You Can)

If you’re coming from work or errands, don’t worry — we’ll cleanse your skin at the start. But if it’s a morning appointment, skip heavy foundation so we can evaluate your skin in its natural state.

3. Some Treatments Have Temporary “After” Effects (and That’s Normal)

After your facial, your skin might look extra dewy, or possibly slightly pink for a few hours — totally normal. Avoid planning heavy makeup, a big event, or a workout right after. Your skin is freshly exfoliated and deserves a calm environment to soak in all the benefits.

We’ll walk you through post‑care based on your specific facial!

4. The Consultation Is an Important Part

We’ll cover your skin history, current routine, allergies, sensitivity levels, and realistic goals.

Then we design a treatment around that information. This is how we achieve consistent results for different skin types and lifestyles.

5. Be Consistent — Results Build Over Time

You’ll notice visible improvement after your first facial, but the real transformation happens with consistency. Regular visits (every 4–6 weeks) help maintain results and give your esthetician time to fine‑tune your treatment plan as your skin changes.

At‑home care matters too. Using the right cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF between appointments helps extend your results beyond the treatment room.
